Split PDF
Pull selected pages out of a PDF, split it into ranges, or turn every page into its own file. Everything runs in your browser; your PDF is never uploaded.
Accepted format: .pdf
Your PDF is processed locally in your browser and is never uploaded. Learn more.
Each output is a brand-new PDF built from the pages you chose, in order. One output PDF is downloaded directly; several are delivered as a ZIP built in your browser. Page content is copied exactly; bookmarks, form fields and attachments are not carried over. Password-protected PDFs cannot be split.
How this Split PDF tool works
The PDF is read in your browser and, depending on the mode, its pages are copied into one or more new PDFs with the pdf-lib library. "Extract" makes a single PDF from the pages you list. "Split into ranges" makes one PDF per comma-separated range. "Every page" makes one PDF per page. Nothing you open or generate is ever sent to Docspira or anywhere else.
A page list accepts single pages and ranges separated by commas, like 1-3, 5, 8-10. Zero, negative numbers, pages past the end of the document, and backwards ranges such as 10-5 are rejected with a clear message; a page listed twice is only included once.
