Watermark PDF

Stamp a text or logo watermark onto a PDF. Choose the position, opacity, rotation, size and colour, and apply it to every page or a page range. Everything runs in your browser; your PDF is never uploaded.

Accepted format: .pdf

The watermark is drawn onto each selected page with pdf-lib and the file is rebuilt in your browser. Text uses the standard Helvetica font. On pages that are rotated in the PDF, the watermark is kept upright relative to the reader. Password-protected PDFs cannot be watermarked.

How this Watermark PDF tool works

The PDF is opened in your browser: PDF.js renders the page you are looking at for the live preview, and pdf-lib stamps the watermark and saves the new file. The preview and the export share the exact same placement maths, so what you see is what you get. Nothing you open or generate is ever sent to Docspira or anywhere else.

A text watermark takes a font size, colour, opacity and rotation. An image watermark takes a PNG or JPEG (a transparent PNG logo keeps its transparency), sized as a percentage of the page width, with the same opacity and rotation controls. The nine-cell grid picks a corner, edge or the centre; a page list accepts single pages and ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-10.
